The profile this operation requires

We are looking for professionals with a strong service culture, command of high-standard restaurant operations and the ability to deliver professional, personalised service to international guests.

This is an operational Waiter position. General customer-service experience, internships or training do not replace the minimum five years of relevant experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the assigned service station in a restaurant or buffet.
  • Welcome guests, present menus and record orders.
  • Present the wine and beverage list and assist guests with their choices.
  • Know the menus in detail and explain and recommend food and beverages.
  • Handle special diets and specific requests correctly.
  • Serve food and beverages in line with defined presentation and service standards.
  • Keep the station clean, organised and correctly set up before and after each service.
  • Follow cleaning, service, public-health, food-safety and quality procedures.
  • Supervise and support the Assistant Waiter assigned to the station.
  • Perform Room Service duties when requested by a supervisor.
  • Promptly report guest issues or complaints to the responsible manager.

Mandatory requirements

  • At least five years of relevant table-service experience in a five-star hotel or high-end restaurant, excluding internships and training.
  • Completed secondary education or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in high-volume restaurants with demanding service standards.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, plus an up-to-date CV in English.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with guests of different ages and nationalities.
  • Food-safety knowledge and a valid Food Safety/HACCP certificate at the time of application.
  • EU citizenship, valid passport and readiness to provide any visas, certificates and documents required by the company.
  • Ability to work onboard and as part of a multicultural team.

An additional European language will be valued.
